Tanya Scott, RVT

Tanya grew up on the east coast and moved out to Alberta in 2004, and has been here ever since. She started her first year of tech school in Miramichi, NB but completed the Animal Health Technology program in 2009 at Olds College and was the first graduating class in the online delivery program. She has been in the industry for well over 14 years, starting as a technician assistant, then receptionist, to eventually becoming a Registered Veterinary Technologist. She now works as a Practice Manager and Lead RVT at Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital. She has always had a love for animals, growing up with dogs when she was young and riding horses. Her favourite part of her profession is blood collection, catheter placement, radiology, practice management, and of course - the animals!

Her family just had a new addition named Tony, who is a handsome Labrador retriever that is keeping the whole family on their toes! She is married and has a daughter that keeps her busy in her spare time. Tanya has played the piano since she was 5 years old, and has a certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Teaching Elementary Piano. She also has a passion for health and fitness.
